Snowfall and Starlight: Swatch’s Cold Moon Releases with a Twist

Today the Swatch × Omega collaboration adds its boldest MoonSwatch yet with the release of the “Mission to Earthphase – Moonshine Gold Cold Moon.” This version blends playful imagination and celestial mechanics in one Bioceramic package. The watch comes in a crisp white Bioceramic case with matching crown and pushers, paired with a white rubber strap secured by a VELCRO closure and a Bioceramic loop. The dial is rendered in opaline white, and the hour markers glow green in the dark thanks to Super-LumiNova.

At 10 o’clock a new earthphase display reveals a view of Earth from the Moon. The oceans light up blue under UV light. Below that floating planet sits a sweet tribute: an illustration of Snoopy and Woodstock standing on the Moon, looking skyward toward our luminous blue home. Hidden under UV light is a secret phrase that evokes the spirit of the original Moonwatch. Meanwhile at 2 o’clock a moonphase disc shows two full moons coated in Omega’s Moonshine Gold. One moon bears a Snoopy-style design while the other is engraved with a snowflake pattern. Each snowflake is unique so no two pieces are the same.
With a 42 mm case, a 13.75 mm thickness, and 47.30 mm lug-to-lug, the watch uses a quartz chronograph movement with earthphase and moonphase complications. I t is rated to 3 bar water resistance. What makes this release absolutely irresistible is the manner of its availability. Beginning 4 December 2025 — the Cold Moon — the Cold Moon edition will be available at Swatch stores worldwide until 20 March 2026, but only on days when it is snowing in Switzerland.

This quirky but sophisticated MoonSwatch feels like a statement piece and a story told on the wrist. It simultaneously honours Omega’s celestial heritage and leans into Swatch’s playful spirit. For collectors, for dreamers, for anyone who loves a little wonder wrapped around their wrist this winter, the Cold Moon MoonSwatch is one to watch. If you don’t have buyer fatigue by now. We have lost count the total number of MoonSwatch variants ourselves.
