The latest chapter in the Bioceramic MoonSwatch story, the Mission to Earthphase – Moonshine Gold, changes the moonphase complication just a little bit for September’s full moon.

This is the second entry in a series that celebrates the full moons of the year, and September’s model is inspired by the so-called Harvest or Corn Moon.  On the dial, the moonphase is rendered in OMEGA’s Moonshine™ Gold, one side illustrated in the playful idiom of Snoopy’s world, the other transformed into a field of popcorn—rows of golden kernels with a red-and-white popcorn box placed at the centre.  The metaphor is clear: imagination, like corn, needs only the right spark to expand into something extraordinary.

At two o’clock sits the moonphase indicator, while the earthphase, first introduced by Swatch in 2024, appears at ten o’clock.  The earth is shown in deep blue, oceans highlighted by UV ink, set against a starry backdrop.  Both indicators run on a 29.5-day cycle, but move counter to each other, so that a full moon is always paired with a “new earth”.  At nine o’clock, Snoopy and Woodstock perch on the Moon, gazing back at our planet.  A hidden inscription, visible only under UV light, nods to the pioneering spirit of the original Moonwatch.

The watch itself is classic MoonSwatch in form: a 42 mm case in dark navy Bioceramic, 13.75 mm thick, with an asymmetrical profile and Speedmaster-style recessed subdial.  The dial is white opaline, luminous hands and markers glow green, and the tachymeter bezel is rendered in matching navy.  The strap is navy Velcro rubber, a reminder that this is as much about fun as it is about fidelity to spaceflight heritage.

Inside is a quartz chronograph movement, with running seconds, chronograph seconds, and both earth and moonphase indications.  Water resistance is 30 metres, the crystal is biosourced with an engraved “S”, and the caseback bears the mission engraving.  The battery cover carries an Earth motif, keeping the theme literally close to the wrist.

As was the case with August’s Sturgeon Moon variant, only one watch may be purchased per person, per store.  The Mission to Earthphase – Moonshine Gold Harvest Moon will be available exclusively at selected Swatch boutiques worldwide on September 8, 2025, the day after the full moon. The retail price in Singapore is SGD535.
